We have lots of CityTV snippets on the OS, of interviews with players and match highlights. However isn't it time we improved our in house match coverage like the academy games?

Last EDS game, Southampton provided a superb live stream, with 2 excellent commentators, that was available to view post match for anyone that couldn't view it live. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=c6pMV6TC6qc

Today the EDS match against United is on MUTV but no City coverage, as far as I know, except dodgy streams.

Agreed, frustrating when other clubs have better coverage than us. All the money we have spent on the academy, fans that cant get to the games should be able to see the good football and progress we are making.

Agreed we need our own tv station for the u16 u18 and u21..

Hope the club do something to correct this!!

The club must record the games, just making them available to fans, by Live streaming on YouTube would be great!

Pretty abysmal the club didn't even stream the u21 final against Porto. Surely it cant be that expensive to get a few cameras and stream the game.

I don't agree with the TV format.
Its rather expensive and can be inaccessible if you don't have access to a TV/Cable/Satellite

A better solution would be for City to provide an online channel, streaming live matches for all Academy games, highlights and so on.

I would be willing to pay for this if the price was reasonable ;)

I do attend the academy stadium for EDS matches but find it frustrating not being able to watch the EDS when playing away.

I agree. The TV channel would be limited to England alone. A stream, even a paid one, would improve accessibility to the fans abroad. The club can even show the premier league matches if it's feasible. I wouldn't mind a commentary team that doesn't start moaning everytime City scores and jump out of their chair evrytime City loses or draws, for a change.

Not seen that before and just watched the whole game. I agree, it was excellent. Really really enjoyed it.

The fact we had cameras at the match against united, yet it was being broadcast on MUTV was really disappointing, especially as many of us had to settle for a slideshow stream.

Its something the club should really look into for next season, youtube is a great way to live broadcast and most of us can use it easily

I remember talking to Richard Ayers about this a couple of years back when he was running all of our digital stuff. At the time he said that the intention was to stream EDS matches, press conferences, etc - so I'm surprised that it hasn't been done yet.

Wonder if they are considering a subscription type thing. Honestly if I had to pay like a fiver a year or something to be able to stream all EDS matches I'd pay it in a heartbeat.

Why not just include it in the Cityzens -membership fee or something? Two birds at a one stone as it would put a lot more content to the ridiculous £30 you have to pay for it these days

anyway, I'd even gladly pay to be able to watch the kids so please City make it happen. if it's free all the bettter of course ;-)

So... has there been any progress in bringing EDS and Academy matches on City TV? Do they plan to broadcast them and/or put replays on?

I remember somebody mentioned that there was a question like that in questionaries from the club when debates on the new badge etc took place.

Maybe they aren't televising the home games because they want the punters through the gate. I would welcome coverage of EDS /u18s away games.

Maybe they don't want other clubs to have tv coverage of our best young players & our methods.

Obviously the club could be selective with regards to what is shown. I wondered about this with our approach to behind the scenes videos and how that contrasts with the fact that Guardiola insisted on having construction work done on Bayern's training ground in order to remain away from prying eyes. But yeah, I'd expect that any coverage of coaching would be selective and nothing of real importance.

And when it comes to the actual EDS games, some are televisised anyway and it doesn't exactly take much for any interested clubs to send scouts. I'd be astonished if that doesn't happen already.

Difference between sending scouts & seeing the occasional game live compared to being able to have a video of all our best kids all season & decide if any are worth tapping up though.

Maybe they don't care about that, but if I was in charge it's something I'd think about.

I'd like to see City get a tv chan, as in the style of Dippers TV, Chelski TV, RagFC TV.

Ie, City TV, or Cityzens TV, paid for by advertising not subscription, showing as many live games as possible, including friendlies, plus MCWFC, and perhaps even Melbourne, NY, Yokohama, etc, games

It is a rather obvious stream with rather obvious fan development from it.

It must be a financial issue. CFG must want to make a revenue stream from it otherwise we would have a YT channel specifically for this.

Yet, attachment partnerships with different brands presenting the games every month would and could be easily achieved.

Imagine having to sit through 10/ 15 of brand awareness before the game starts or when you tune in?

I could handle that, gladly!
