In a weird way this whole thing excites me!

I'm sad, very very sad. Not all because its tevez, but because there is always something crap going on in this club. We beat west-ham pretty neatly, things were looking pretty good for a change, a bit quiet. Then ofc this happens. Its so god damn typical, and I'm so sick of everything "falling" apart all the time.

And who exactly can replace tevez? I just can't see one player in the world who could really. And second a new player would take time for sure, maybe as long as one season, and how far back are we going when tevez is gone? This season is in major jeopardy and I can't see us finishing top four I'm afraid.

In the transfer market I must say city have done quite a lot of bad business after coming into this money, I can see tevez going on the cheap, maybe on loan first where we ofc pay the wage. Then sold for 20mil ish. Anything below 45mil would be INSANE, and thats why city probably would do it. And I can see city buying a striker for more than we sell tevez for. And how exactly is that justifiable ? I don't think there are a striker in the world who have done better than tevez the last year. I know its doom and gloom but I just don't know how else to look at it.

And we all know the media will make this into a failure by city and we'll be the laughing stock no matter what we do, that is a fact.
No, its not. So far the media have ALL backed us on this one. I have not heard one comment from anyone in the media which suggests people pointing and laughing, infact all I have heard is how bizarre it all is, from tevez' point of view. Both Mikes on talksport right now and not one word of criticism other than how crackers Balotelli is, and it is that which is a fact.

How is it a disaster, we have got the opportunity to show the whole of the football world, that if you fcuk with us, you will pay!

we are the richest and therefore one of the most powerful clubs in the world, and now you will finally see us acting that way

Of course it's a disaster.

1) He's our best player no.....would say Silva is now
2) He's our captain........shouldn't be...this was only to keep him happy
3) He's hugely respected throughout the squad............really?
4) He's almost irreplaceable...........no player is irreplacable when you can buy almost anyone
5) It will hit morale just when things were starting to go right..........We are joint top and have some very intelligent players who will keep this cool
6) It send a message out to perspective signings.....telling them you can't fcuk with us

Do I need to go on?

1)David Silva?
2)Vincent Kompany?
3)Not any more he wont be, he's tried to shaft us and it will backfire on him
4)Almost but not quite, Torress / Augero / i'd even look at Suarez (spelling?) from Ajax
5)And how bad would morale be if we gave in and 'pursuaded' him to stay with a huge new contract?
6)Yeah send out a message that if you signe for us, you are here for the team not yourself!

Looking at the stats with Tevez in the side and out of the side it's not disaster in win %55 out %50

Long time no see DD. Normally I agree with most things you say, but today a parting of ways in our opinion has occurred.
1) He will be replaced
2) Give it Vinny K
3) I can't see many respecting him now, not after his tantrum
4) Aguero as a like for like replacement. Torres as an out and out goalscorer
5) It could have the opposite effect
6) It only sends out a message that, (as the OP said), you don't fuck with us.

Thats how I see it anyway. More importantly though, are we still fwends after said disagreement? ;-)

Never had you down as a Tubthumper, Pidge ;-)

I take your point.

But Tevez is the public face of Manchester City. There's no other way to see this that hugely damaging to "the project" in my eyes.

He's got 39 goals in 60 games. Everything we do comes through him.

If we replace him with a better player, then it's fine, but there aren't many out there who fit the bill and I don't know if we can attract the ones that do. Especially after this.

Hopefully money will talk. With Tevez or a replacement.

DD,calm down fella
Everything we do comes through him-are you sure its not the other way round ?

Weve had an unhealthy reliance on Tevez for far too long, perhaps now we can drop this Tevez one man crusade and actually score more goals without him in the side? The side is now creating chances for fun, even Lee Bradbury would prosper with our midfield around him!

Ive not got the stats infront of me but havent we done alright when he hasnt started?

I can only look at this situation with excitement for a number of reasons. 1 - I think the way we handle this whole situation may help the way we are portrayed by the media to some extent. 2- Only the maddest of tevez fans would say he is the best striker in the world, or that there isnt better/ as good available. 3- If he does leave in january, it is going to be another exciting transfer window for us.

i was honestly more upset the day SWP left for chelsea

With Tevez we win 55% without 50% so not that bad

As I've said previously I was more upset when David Wagstaffe left at Christmas, worst present ever.50 years on we are still here and prospering, and will contiue to do so.

Last season i would agree that we would be f*cked without him but this season youve got to say no,as your stats point out we dont do too badly without him-we are a different kettle of fish now.

I know it sounds daft, but this whole Tevez thing is really exciting me.

I cant wait to see the clubs next move, I know for sure that the club will come out of this with our reputation and class fully intact. This is our chance to make a stand.

IMO opinion, the statement we released saying 'he has been asking for a new contract since October' was a masterstroke. No way would Tevez (or more importantly his agent) have expected us to do that. It is a clear statement that the cant mess us around. We have basically just screwed him and shown him up for what he is.

All this talk of letting him rot in the reserves will never happen. This will go one of two ways. we will flog him to Madrid January (my personal prefrence and bring in Dezko and Torres) or he will issue an appology get his family living over her, and go on a massive charm offensive stating he was depressed about his daughters etc.

The one thing that WILL NOT happen is, we Manchester City Football Club will not be held to ransom by any player. Unlike them dirt red cnuts. we will not bend over and take one like they did from Rooney.

That is my response to the crap I keep hearing off them today, its funny seeing there response when you state that to them!

that is the difference here, we hold all the aces, Tevez need us more than we need him!

i love your positive view of this and agree.

i cant wait to see who we will get, hopefully in january. i think city have and still are learning the lesson, we really must be more picky and go for players with less personal baggage and mentally balanced.
