Still alive here....
No, not the excellent tune by the 90's hearthrobs Spandau Ballet but the Bolton Wanderers raffle.

They sent me a lovely letter telling me i've won in the draw and a cheque for fifty quid. Amazing really as i last paid my weekly quid about 5 years ago. No wonder they're skint.

Anyroad, what would you spend the cash on? I was thinking of donating it back to the club as i have a soft spot for them, or giving it to charidee or blowing it on a sesh before tonights game.

Give it to the club mate. My Grandad was from Bolton, he loved the Wanderers and I loved him.
Are they around £140 mill in debt? The problem a lot of clubs are facing is that if they get a benefactor who wipes out
the debt then bungs in say, £100 mill for rebuilding, they then get fined by twatting UEFA and FFP for not 'Earning' it.
A fucking shame for the Wanderers, I hope they get out of this mess.

It was by the then 80s spandau. Oh and blow it. 50 won't make any difference to them.

Agree fully. I used to go to Burnden as a kid, 2p on the bus. Had some great times there and witnessed that goal from Worthington as well. Very dodgy in the 70's but me big brother showed me the way.

That Frankie Worthington was one of my idols, one of the rock star type of footballers, plus that goal was something else, I only saw it on telly,
but the talk in the boozers afterwards was great. Anyway, £50 quid may go towards paying the tea lady at least, plus think of your liver, you'll be better for it .

To late for the money to be any good to them.
Bank the cheque now while it has a chance of clearing.

Ring whatever the local Bolton paper is called and tell them about it. I'm sure Bolton fans would love to know how well Gartside and co are running/ruining their club.

I couldn't find one fuckin shop that sold them
