Been thinking about this for a while now.

When Arsenal had Henry, Bergkamp, Ljungberg, Vieira, Pires I am convinced that the opposition though "Oh god, how are we going to handle that for 90 minutes?" (Would be the same for Barcelona nowadays) and I wonder whether with Agúero, Tevéz, Balotelli, Dzeko, Nasri, Silva and to a lesser extent Johnson they'll have the same impact and give us the pyschological edge before we've even kicked a ball in anger.

Thoughts?

I would give that time. Barcelona seems to have so many of them having come up through their system that by the time they get to the top squad, they have every move planned out 3 steps ahead of the defense they play against.

City has a lot of talent now but until they see who sticks around and they can get a bunch of matches under their belts, I would say that there is future potential for that to happen

Well i certainly used to think that, christ remember a match at Maine Rd,they were about 4-0 up on us in half hour !

I remember that very well, finished 5 - 0 and yet we were still belting out Bluemoon at the top of our voices much to the respect of the Arsenal fans and we applauded them off Arsenal were that good that day!

Can't wait to watch the psychological edge develop on the new tunnel cam! :)

5 1 wasn't it and a certain Stuart Taylor plated a stormer for arsenal that day

A fantastic team! I only hope The Arse fans appreciated it at the time. I must say that I never begrudged them any of those players. I just marvelled at the collective skill and thought that one day, perhaps, . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .!

I think it was 4-0 after 22 mins or something. And yea we clapped them off but we also sang "Boring Boring Arsenal" , to which their fans couldnt see the sarcasm and were thinking "wtf more do you lot want?"

Southerners don't do irony.

Can remember Thiery Henry coming to take a corner on the tunnel side of the North Stand. He got a great reception, and clapped us back...I think we made an impression on him taht night - sure he mentioned us favourably some time later...

Can also remember "Can we play you every week?" getting an airing - I think Wenger applauded that one!

I remember the second home game in our first season at CoMS 9as it was) when we played them. I was sat just above the Arseanl bench and looking at players like Henry, Bergkamp, Vieira, Wiltord, Ljungberg, etc.

They were the Invicibles and I was just in awe of them. I'm sure they had the same impact on our team as well.
