Let me put that untruthful 1.5 million figure into context.

The estimated population of Merseyside in 2023 was approximately 1.46 million.

So, the whole population of Merseyside was at the parade, plus another 40,000 from Norway and Ireland.

If you ever watched the TV show ideal starring Johnny Vegas, he was in that.

I can't recall what it was about but he also made a joke several years ago that blew up and got him canceled everywhere so this isn't new territory for him.
