The club are going to have to remove some of the half time diversity propaganda to fit this propaganda in, sometime no time soon the half time messages will be about actual football ;)

Have to say, I would disagree with the first of the "don't say" points. If you're playing for City, and you're taking care of business on the pitch, I don't give a toss what colour you are, what religion (if any) you follow or who you sleep with. What you do on the pitch is the bottom line for me. Nothing else.

Exactly. What else is there for a football fan? If your team performs, it doesn't matter what they are. If your team doesn't perform, it doesn't matter what they are.

Genuine question. Are elite footballers so homophobic? These days, I would have thought, 90% of the general population couldn't care less about sexual orientation. Is elite sport such a backwater? Or is my estimate way out?

I know we can’t speak generally but in my last year at school (48 years ago) there were three lads who who I know for sure turned out to be gay. All three of them had no interest in any sport at all, they were much happier in the classroom, they tended not to mix with the other lads.

So, I do think even though there are gay’s who play and support football I think there will be a smaller percentage of professional gay footballers over the general gay population, it’s just not a thing for a lot of them. Women’s football is the complete opposite, there’s way more lesbians who play the game than correlate to the lesbian population.

I know, have known, 4 lesbian couples and all 8 of them are football fans, the only gay lad I speak to these days is just not interested in Sport, he’s just into his music and having a good drink at weekend, top lad though.
