Incredible Ireland stats when he starts for City this season

Did I imagine the bit where he said he thought he was going to die a few weeks ago? Had he not been playing pretty much all the time until then? Does it completely escape the bounds of possibility that the fact they don't know what was wrong with him may have something to do with him being brought back gradually rather than just thrown back in?

I read that in an article on the evening news website the other night. I think he said something like he thought it was the end of him
