If you are on a low budget you buy bargain player and try to mould a team..

All city are doing is raising the ante on the quality of player. We've still got to mould a team and some players will no doubt fall by the wayside.

Like the article says about Veron and Mutu, who at the time were superb players.

Speculate to accumalate but in our case we can speculate with more cash.

If Robinho is a flop and is sold, what do we care. Just spend more on another player to see if he fits the jigsaw. It's not like it's our money from our season tickets.

Blue Moon Rising!

All the papers ever do is question the value we get for buying players. If you're a millionaire £100k is acceptable to pay for a car. So what if you are a trillionaire?

Good read that. Espaecially liked the 'bungee jump' analogy
Me too. The chances of a cord snapping are extremely slim and if it doesn't you're gonna have the time of your life :)

I'm on my own then thinking, there's plenty of sly, snide comments in that article.

Quote "That is the price of revolution –there will be less Manchester in Manchester City"... how does he work that one out?

Qoute "Still, £41m on Yaya Toure, who was judged very surplus to requirements at Barcelona, and Kolarov, who has one year left on his contract at Lazio, is a lot. Balotelli is a football bungee jump, thrilling but dangerous."

I didn't think YaYa was "very surplus to requirements" in fact he started 40 games just as he had the season before.

Yaya only played 37 times last season in all competitions, which included substitute appearances, but I know what you mean.
