Indian Restaurants - City Centre?

a few times i've been in EastZEast on nights out and theres been quite a number of free tables.

They have a bar on the entrance floor, so if you do wait you can just have a sit and drink, then proceed to go downstairs to your table.

Highly recommended :)

You're talking about the big newer EastzEast in Salford - they're on about the original one on Princess St. Smaller, and dead busy on a weekend!

Got friends up tomorrow....their first time in Manchester....mate of wife's from work and her hubby. He runs a small micro brewery and we are taking him around a few pubs he may get to put his beers in.....Marble/Knott Bar, City, Bar Fringe, etc...(dirty job, but someone etc....)

Anyhow, we are looking at an Indian later, but don't want to tie to a time and book into say EastZEast, Rajdoot etc as too inflexible.....
Friends have heard of Curry Mile in Rusholme and fancy there, however, last few visits there have been disappointing for us....poor quality food and rushed 'cattle market' service and the like. So hoping for someplace in town itself that can just 'drop in'??

Any suggestions?

just give 'em an Abdul's chicken kebab ;o)

(can't beat it - but I'm surprised you've not had anything decent in Rusholme; is the Shere Khan not still open?)

Yeah, I know where it is, just that they seem to be talking about this side of town. That said, if they're toying with the idea of Rusholme, I guess a cab to Blackfriar's isn't out of the question!
