Individual Match Tickets

For the individual tickets bought on Cityzens memberships ... has anyone been able to request mobile tickets or PAH (print-at-home) tickets for a game? For smaller games, they had already sent out the mobile tickets even for the ones that are later in the season, but for bigger games (like Newcastle one coming up on Saturday) it's only available on the mobile pass. So if I can't make it now, I can't pass it to a friend etc. or someone here (as if I do that, they'd have my mobile pass, not just one mobile ticket - and then all future big game tickets will automatically get loaded on that pass so it's really if I trust someone to not use those is whom I can give it to now). They really want us to return the tickets (for all big games) back ONLY to them if we can't make it anymore!
I bought one for my lad during that mental sales day and the only option was mobile pass. I recently DMd the city support twitter group to ask for a mobile ticket as we wanted to give it to him as a gift. Couple of hours later and I had it in an email ready to download to his phone.

I didn't understand the difference, if there is one, between mobile ticket and mobile pass - i have bought a member ticket for Sat, but no idea how the club intend to 'deliver' it to me...?
Mobile ticket (which were used last season) is a one off, so one per game. Say you buy 10 individual games, you’d get 10 separate mobile tickets.

Mobile pass is like a season ticket now, you’ll just have one pass (so similar to season ticket is) which if once downloaded on a phone will simply load on those 10 tickets one by one as games come.

So previously if I had bought 10 tickets for the season, and because I because I had to buy them in July not even knowing what I’d be doing in next March or if game would be on a Fri or a Sat or a Mon etc. I could pass that ticket on to a cousin, a friend or even a stranger on here to help out a fellow blue … but now, and let’s take Newcastle’s game as an example … first of my 10 tickets this season, I just can’t do that unless it is given to say my wife whose phone I can take after the game and delete that mobile pass from, because anyone else and there’s no guarantee that they’d remove it - it’s not a one off Mobile ticket anymore that after use is done but the Mobile pass means my next ten tickets would show up on their phone as well, and whoever scans it first goes in while who goes second will be denied entry. So basically this stops me passing it on to any stranger … or someone off here … but they haven’t done it to stop that, their motivation is for these to be given back to them so they can decide if they want o repackage it as hospitality or put it back on sale with an extra fiver or tenner on top.

Thanks, my phone doesn't have NFC and that seems to suggest I cannot download a mobile pass, will they send emails, as in the past, to load mobile ticket..?

Can't say I agree.
Am saying non-members should be able to buy at the last minute - not ahead of members at all.
This policy will lead to empty seats WITH people willing to buy tickets not being able to.
It doesn't help the ticket holder that can't go at the last minute, and people's circumstances can change.
The CLUB does not lose. I don't see what this does FOR any fan, whether member, ST holder, or not.
Ticket sales in advance linked to supporter identities also improves the club's ability to manage security risks. That being said, every cup game last season has rival fans in one area of block 302.

I’m not going to bother looking but if I wanted a half decent adult ticket from Seat Exchange for Saturday then what would I be paying?

There’s not really a bad seat in the Etihad. I bought one for £24 for the Newcastle game, via the Facebook pages

The mobile tickets are also NFC enabled only now, they no more have the QR codes, that could simply be scanned on the day. We'd have the same mess as Arsenal had before their game (which was delayed by a half hour because of that) ... ALL season tickets, mobile passes and mobile tickets are all NFC only now, while last year all of them had the backup option of scanning the QR code.

I can see this getting really messy on Saturday then. A number have said the NFC hasn't worked and they've had to use the barcode (mainly android users by the sounds of it). Myself included.

With regards to those on Silver Season Tickets would the 5 games that aren't included be the same for them and only on Mobile Pass instead of Mobile Ticket?

They seem to constantly over-complicate everything and look for a problem that isn't there.
