Industrial injuries claim.

He said i was 23% deaf as well through having acute Tinnitus.

It's affected my sleep pattern which has caused sleep deprivation, anxiety and stress.
my life has, for decades, involved being around very loud music.

you'll never get rid of the ringing during the sleeping hours,
if you let it it will drive you mad
but you can distract from it and your sleep will return to normal...
youtube is full of stuff like this,
have it playing gently in the background in your bedroom
and the ringing goes away

I'm in the process of filling out an industrial injuries claim due to being diagnosed by a leading North West audiologist to have an industrial injury some 5 or so years ago. He said i was 23% deaf as well through having acute Tinnitus.

It's affected my sleep pattern which has caused sleep deprivation, anxiety and stress. I cannot work at the moment which is something I'm hoping to do in the future.

Just wondering if anyone is claiming or claimed this payment and any advice on what to write on the form ?

Oh, and I've tried going to a blame clean solicitor but they won't touch the big boys of Vodafone, 3, EE ,o2, National Grid, Arqiva and a few other companies i did work for. Mobile telecommunications is one of those 'we think it's safe but we're not sure yet' professions that will surely be acknowledged and compensated for, but when i don't know...

I will appreciate any help and advice, I'll even torch my head if I have to; ) joking apart, claiming on the insurance has been out of the thus far.

Regarding the form just be honest on it. The fact you have a medical diagnosis is pretty indisputable so you should be grand. The people processing them aren’t monsters, they just try to weed out the chancers from the genuine.

That said this shouldn’t be about the tax payer footing the bill for your previous employers potential liability.

With that in mind I’d try and see if anyone else, who did a similar job, has similar symptoms to you if you haven’t already. These no win type solicitor firms might not want to take them on for a single claim but multiple claims will have them thinking twice. It’ll also strengthen your case that this is work related due to unsafe practice and not because you are preconditioned to suffer them.

Secondly check your home insurance it might have some employment law support in there. They may even take your case on - they’ll apply some criteria to it but it’s a quick check and call to figure out.

Best of luck blue.

The diagnosis is recent and the injury was 5 years ago? I don't know how you pin it down to one employer, as an isolated claim, and get it to stick, being a very common condition.
