Inflation - when is this going to end?

Got an email from EE telling how much of a valued customer I am, how they are proud to be the UK's no.1 etc blah blah blah.... and, for that, we are putting your price plan up by 14.4% (£6.52 a month).

I've been complaining for years to the regulator, MP's etc that, when I agree to a 2 year deal for X amount a month, I should pay that amount for the length of the contract.

EE, and others, are allowed to put on a RPI rate PLUS a 3.9% increase every year. I can get out and move to another operator but will have the same problem with them.

Motor Insurance is fooking scandalous at the moment: 82% increase this year. And that was with a slight reduction. I have shopped around.

Rip-Off Britain is alive and and doing very well in 2023!
Never renew Car Insurance without comparing.
Comparison sites all day long

The inflation rate over here is currently 2.2%. Got this email from Vodafone today....

Robbing bastards.

People need to dispose of this idea of brand loyalty, change your business any chance you can get or they will fleece loyal customers.

Lady next to me was being charged £59 for BB and phone (She never uses) by BT. She now pays £24 for faster BB with no landline, she had been with BT for 20 years.

My internet is just over 20€ a month and my mobiles are with a company called lobster who give me unlimited data and calls for 11.99€
Certainly can’t complain.

The burner phones might cost more though.. :-)

Had an email from SKY about increase on April 1:

£2 TV and £3 for sport, £5 which is an 11.2% increase.

The problem with a pounds and pence rise is many people won't know the percentage rise. Great way off pulling the wool over peoples eyes. Called, told them I'm not happy. Response was that others were doing it. We just can't win.
