Inflation - when is this going to end?

A. There isn't that many jobs around where I live.
B. I've been trying to get a new job for a couple of years, but I'm guessing my age is going against me.
Age never did Biden any harm. Lots of talk but they are voting for him in droves in the primaries. I suggest you wear more make up and a shorter skirt.

Inflation is a fact of life, at least it was until we had a global meltdown in 2008/09, then interest rates fell and prices of many things went down due to demand falling off a cliff.

In short, inflation, albeit low inflation of 2% or less, is better than the reverse, which is a function of a desperately poor overall economy.

I read that car insurance is going up because of electric cars.
The cost of repairing is prohibitive so they are easily written off
That and the lack of parts for other cars, it’s cheaper to write off than give you a hire car and wait a year for repair.

soon the media will announce ... ' Great news! inflation falls so interest falls !'' this will be after 10+ million people will have been forced to take a fixed option at 5/6+% and paying shed loads more every month.

The cost of the battery packs is half the cost of the car when new. If the battery packs are damaged they can’t generally be fixed so as the cost to replace is. Me over half the value of the car to replace (even if you’ve only driven it 5 miles) it gets written off as its standard practice for insurers to write off cars that have damage that is 50% or more of the cars value.

Letting garages replace just part of the battery pack or see if they are damaged would go a long way to solving this.

How much would you like to see the economy grow by each year?

I'm not a economic expert, I'm just saying how the media will report what great news it is when interest rates fall after so many millions like myself was forced into fixed remortgages at 5/6% for years.

But we all know that even if they sorted the cost of battery replacement, insurance costs wont dip again. Nothing ever comes down!
