I have no idea what people are reading into this. Is he saying even if certain players aren’t there, he will still be thinking of them because of how much they’ve done. Or is he saying only players that have sacrificed for the team are there? It’s very unclear!!

how is it unclear? he says he wont forget the players playing through pain for the club

Do you not rate either of them (i.e. don’t care if they drop off and so eventually want to leave)?

And I understand we need to rest players. But how many would want to be “rested” regularly? Especially when the player that replaces them for the rest period may have as purple patch and thus it is more difficult to get back in to the side.

Personally, I would not have gone back for Gundogan, though I can understand why we did. Neves is a year older but already more experienced than O'Reilly so I'd have let him wait; he doesn't need to be listed in the 25 anyway. It's not that I don't rate him, but I do rate Neves, and I've long been a champion of McAtee.

As for time off, I was only thinking about each player being accommodated once in a season.

Think this is aimed at walker myself only because he made the point that he couldnt rest lewis cos his captain isnt there. Grealish cryptic ig bullshit hasnt helped either
