Injuries 2024/25 | Ake & Bobb return to training

Great news to have so many back.

Give some of the newbies and the kids a game Saturday lunchtime and then go and batter Real midweek with a largely fresh team!

It's as easy as that.

I read that Postecoglou decided to rest van der ven in the League Cup semi because although he had returned for the UEFA Cup, the numbers for his performance were not that good and they put him back in training.

Fitness is a continuum. In previous seasons, KDB would return, be abject for a month and then start to play. I don't think it will happen this season sadly.

I think City's squad is strong and we have the potential to compete with Liverpool and Arsenal but after 4 years of attrition our squad is not fully fit. And most likely this season is a season of damage limitation. But you never know. Rolling a six is unlikely but it happens.

Madrid play athletico Saturday night we could get this done in the first leg. Wishful thinking? They r done to the bare bones themselves if they play a full team at athletico they are gonna be proper knackered whilst our players will have had 9 days off. Presuming we rest everyone at orient. Madrid surely won't throw the game at athletico will they??
Madrid can't afford to throw any game but like us Madrid can beat anyone whatever team they put out.

I am sure they won't be looking forward to coming here next week, it will be a huge test for them.

Given how easily they go down and how UEFA officials referee games, he’d be on a booking inside 10 minutes
He'll have to learn to deal with it soon anyways and this season, there's nothing to lose.
On that note, how great it would be to have Dinho come back as an assistant manager to guide our young defensive players !!

He looks like he’s quick over a distance in straight races. On videos where he’s defending out wide(not the ones where he’s just used brute strength) he doesn’t look quick on the turn or on quick change of direction. He’d probably get torn to shreds on only his 2nd start out of position against Vinicius.

Would fill the new North Stand if we won it LOL.
Joking apart we need a pot prior to next season.

If that pot fill the seats oh yes :-)
Please no!!!!! We’re only just whittling down the half and half tourists taking all the tickets. We don’t want any more thanks

If all 4 are back in training ffs let's learn a lesson and NOT rush them straight back in.
I'd even hesitate to include them against Real midweek.
Concentrate on nailing top 4 to keep the coffers topped up and see what the FA Cup throws up

You could well be right, I have watched only highlights before watching his debut and the impression that I got is that he is quick enough to catch up someone running with ball at feet even if his positioning is not fully formed yet.
