For what it's worth I think he's fucking knackered anyway and I'm not sure how much of a positive contribution he would have been able to give in the closing weeks of the season. He's largely uninvolved in games at the moment and his finishing looks tired. Thankfully we've brought Marmoush in who won't score as many goals but will involve himself in matches in different ways to Erling and is likely to press more frequently and run for longer than Erling can. He's not as lethal in front of goal but hopefully he won't have to be.

When are we going to see Bobb? Surely by this stage he should be getting into the match day squad. The Haaland injury might torpedo our charge for top five or it might just give rise to another Pep eureka moment. Our backs are well and truely to the wall now lets see what happens.

Let them beat the rags and let them have third. We'll have 4th or 5th and keep the rags losing

Was thinking while watching the game about his first season. Ok, people will argue that it was a freak season, and he'll never do it again: but he would have had a hat trick by the thirty-minute mark in that first season.

Just in time to be shunted off to the other side of the ocean to take part in some meaningless tournament (apart from the money — potentially) and come back jaded/injured again.

I’m hopeful that Ake’s issue will be resolved. Seems like he’s played most of this season with a broken foot, so hopefully the surgery and rest will have healed that.

Who knows on Stones. Maybe his surgery has given his feet time to heal too. I’m not as hopeful on that, but his injury might be a blessing in disguise in the long run.

Imagine if he was actually clinical, though. He could (should?) have had at least two goals by HT on sunday. Using the modern parlance, I wonder how many "big chances" he's missed since coming to us; another 15-20, possibly?
