Injuries 2024/25 | Ake & Bobb return to training

Ederson is out for “weeks” probably back same time as Haaland.

There is a chance he has played his last game for us if he leaves at the end of the season….what a thought that is!
He's under contract until June 2026.

Pep's press conference is at 12:30 today. We might get more news then.

I know. I mean I think we will sell him if he still wants to go to Saudi.

Watching it you never know with Pep, he either says they are ready for the next game or not, no other timescales given.

I wonder how Rodri is doing and I hope he isn’t as far away as some think now.

Might aswell play with safe with Rodri, no point in rushing when we've only the FA Cup to play for.

Bobb getting an injury is not great news for the lad.
Must be very disheartening trying to get back to fitness yet getting these setbacks
Must be frustrating. Best to let the lad have the rest of the season off and comeback fully fit next season although with our fitness team/dept that’s not guaranteed.

City are advertising for a new first team head of physical performance - not clear whether it’s a new position or a replacement hire, but the role seems to have a heavy emphasis on injury risk mitigation and recovery.

Interesting development if it’s part of a shake up of the fitness regimen of the squad.

Instead of advertising and maybe only ending up with someone who works at Championship level or something, why not decide who the best in the world is and tap them up and lure them from another big club, a bit like Liverpool and Arsenal seem to frequently do to us with scouts, coaches, etc?

It’s not uncommon for a company to advertise a position and commission headhunters to conduct a search as well, apart from the most senior positions that is.

Regardless, I would see it as as a positive that the club are looking to improve here, even if it’s a belated and overdue move.
