Does it not feel to anyone else like we've already picked up the same amount of injuries as we did in the whole of last season? Not saying it's because of the good doctor, and it could just seem that way because we're a bit up against it at the moment, but feels like we've had a an over average amount of players missing games so far already? This was one of the things that Mancini really insisted on being sorted, and as a result we had far and away the best injury record of the top sides last season.

(No, I don't think it's down to 3-5-2 ;))

How many of the injuries have been picked up during matches? To mind, Richards, Aguero, Garcia, and now YaYa were knocked in games. I'm always more suspicious of injuries which come during training, as that sometimes suggests poor preparation or an underlying problem. When was Maicon injured?

I remember him going off but thought it was more a tactical move.

Its probably partly caused by players not having the summer off and getting a full pre seasons.
Also last year pre season was all spent in America using the Nike facilities, this summer was was spent jetting all over the world, and flying around for international breaks, never great preparation for a season.

I had completely forgotten about that. Hopefully we'll settle into the season then, and not just have a load of recurring injuries that could have been prevented with a good preseason.

The Dr has walked

although a more appropriate phrase would be

The new Dr has walked as well

Mancini and the Dr's tend not to get on, he has been through three chief medics while he has been at City.

As in, since the story broke about the Doctor leaving, we've hired and released another one? Or he was the new Doctor? I knew we had a full overhaul of medical when Mancini arrived wondering why everyone was injured.

To be honest, I thought we were lucky with injuries last season. This season would seem to me to be more like the average

Also, our injuries at the mo are somewhere in the middle of the rest of the league http://www.physioroom.com/news/english_premier_league/epl_injury_table.php
(Handy site for the fantasy footballers out there)

The Euros and Olympics will have taken their toll - but this affects all teams not just ours.
