Injuries?

I know he is in the stands at the home games Karen7, I just wondered if he always travels to away games. If he travels on a coach with the rest of the squad that could account in part for his strained groin/calf not healing as quickly as it should. Being cramped on a plane or a coach can't be doing much for it. I'm not allowed to travel too far in a coach or a car at the moment because of a calf & ankle problem as it could seize up again.

I realise that they have more leg room on their coach but even so, sitting for that length of time travelling can't be good for him. :-)

He has been travelling to away games and you might have a good point about his injury although i don't know much about calf injuries

So where are Clichy and Delph ?

Have you seen or been on one of the coaches they use? Physio tables at the back, leather recliner seats hardly cramped or uncomfortable...as for the planes, they don't travel cattle class ☺

City should employ Eva Carneiro as physio and she could give the players constant treatment to their various muscle strains. This might not cure anything but let's just say that their strains might move elsewhere.

This has so far been the worst season I can remember for injuries. The number of times this season we have been able to put out our strongest XI is Zero. The injuries have also been to our spine players in particular- Kompany, aguero, hart, silva, yaya. We have struggled with simultaneous injuries to players in the same position - nasri and silva out at the same time, Delph and fernando, and we have had repeated injuries to some players - Kompany, aguero, Delph etc.

I know Arsenal and the rags have had their problems, but in the same league as ours?

I don't think it's the number of injuries but the players that have been affected i.e. Kompany, Silva and Aguero. The players that raise City from good to special. We could handle 6-8 injuries at a time if we had Kompany and Silva fit for example.

At the moment we may only have 2 injured players in the squad: Nasri and Kompany, but I wonder whether Delph is fit as he wasn't on the bench at Leicester

Wow.....not surprised the rags have been relegated again but what happened to the tarquins ?

Just an update on this, Fernando and Clichy both trained today so are presumably available again.

Posted in the MP thread earlier, a couple of weeks back we were running at 40+ injuries for the season while 'injury-hit' Arsenal were in second in the league with 22 and the rags had somewhere in the teens.

Could you imagine if this was the new match fixing scam? Now that would be a far fetched concept... No bent referees required

The sheer number of injuries has been a problem; compunded by the fact that it has afflicted many of our key players.
