This could very well be an injury that has no relation to him just returning from his other injury but regardless, our entire medical teams needs a lengthy review. His return has been mis-managed and its not the first time that’s happened. we get an unnatural number of players injuring themselves very shortly after a prior injury, sometimes reoccurring, sometimes unrelated, and we seem to get a lot more muscular injuries than other teams. It may be it’s entirely coincidental and just unlucky or we may just have a bunch of injury prone players but the club has to at least question themselves and be looking for better methods

I have seen a change with Laporte now compared with Mendy injury 1. Definitely more cautious now. Injuries on return are a common issue - not sure that you can fully mitigate the risk, at some point they just have to play games

much rather this than a setback to the surgically repaired knee.

Agree and in the long run this might mean more rest for his knee and a better chance of a full season next year.

3-4-2-1 again? I just can‘t trust Ferna and Otamendi at the back.( against Madrid)

always going to happen and i don't blame anybody, yes laporte wanted to play and stepped up is training and pushing to try and get match fit, and yes manchester city needed him back and tried to get some game time into his legs, but i think his first come back game vs sheff utd he was over played a little bit and i think it started from there with a little pull

look its hard for the player and he is world class and wants game time not just for city but for the summer in getting a chance at the uero's with france, so nobody can say if or but and its just unlucky again and long term injuries are a battle to get fully fit again, and this time no gamble on his fitness and he's got to be 100% before he starts again. lucky there is a gap in the fixtures soon so i don't think he will miss much and could be ready for the liverpool game and if we beat real madrid the next round of the champions league

O.K. So we basically did nearly all of last season without our best midfield player — and one of the absolute best in the world. And we will have done nearly all of this season without our best defender, and one of the absolute best in the world. We haven't done too badly, all things considered.

I feared the worst when he was walking off with tears in his eyes. I thought fucking hell his knees gone again

Mismanagement again. Shouldn’t have played Leicester. 3 starts in a week is just too much for someone coming back from such a long injury loss, no he didn’t play the full 90 min in the previous 2 games but that doesn’t matter.

should have got 15-20 minutes from the bench vs Leicester max. He was rushed back.

You should be on our medical team

To summarise: you don't know.
