Said it weeks ago.
We've signed a crock.
We've not got many signings wrong in recent years but this one for me was one to avoid.
Echo's of Jack Rodwell here.

It's a nasty op and no guarantee of success, I wish him well, a lot of hard work and heartache ahead.Took me 12 months to get full use of my shoulder back post surgery, clearly an elite professional footballer will have the very best rehab....but it will still be a lengthy and difficult process.
Makes the decision to sell one of the best defensive midfield prospects in world football all the more baffling.
It looks like it's popped out at least four times. Is the injury still unknown other than a shoulder problem ? If it keeps popping out and has to be pinned back in place its long term 2 to 4 months, but if It's something else like a frozen shoulder and both ball and joint need looking at to see what is the damage and possible treatment then it could be a quick turn around
How long does a frozen shoulder operation take?
The operation usually takes 30 minutes to an hour. Your surgeon will make two small cuts, about half a centimetre long, one at the front and one at the back of your shoulder. They will insert a small telescope through one of the cuts so they can examine the joint.
The trouble is In a frozen shoulder, the capsule has become inflamed and scarring develops. The scar formations are called adhesions. As the capsule's folds become scarred and tightened, shoulder movement becomes restricted and moving the joint becomes painful.

It was in the Athletic - they don't actually mention dislocation each time, but it has definitely happened a couple of times at least, and clearly all the issues are linked.Have the club come out and said that ? If so, then it's not good long-term, I don't see him making the world cup or playing for city until the 2nd part of the season, but when he played for city it did not pop out just pain in the arm and should when lifting it up that's why I think it's a frozen shoulder

From the article: "The first time his shoulder dislocated was in a home game for Leeds against Wolves in October 2020. But the significant injury happened on the final day of that season against West Brom."
They then said that he didn't have surgery after that game as it was just before the Euros and he didn't want to miss them. Apparently it was considered when he had a medium term injury last season, but Leeds didn't know how long his injury would last, and I suspect with the club being under pressure, wanted him back asap.
It then says he injured it against Barcelona, which wasn't considered serious (pretty sure the commentary said it looked like a dislocation, but maybe it wasn't), but then dislocated it in training again last week.
So, although not definite dislocations each time, it does sound like that's the issue.
Shoulders are probably the trickiest body part due to their intricate structure and rotational properties, there is never a guarantee obviously. Will an operation cure the problem, or is there still a chance it could go again
Same injury that Bryan Robson has before the World Cup in 86, that did not go well, hopefully this outcome will be better, the sooner he has the op the better, almost certainly miss the WC but he has a long career to protect.Shoulders are probably the trickiest body part due to their intricate structure and rotational properties, there is never a guarantee obviously.
I agree. He is about ten weeks into a four year contract. Plenty of time for him to prove his worth.Let him get fit and let’s give the lad a chance first…
86 was a very long time ago ,i'm sure techniques in shoulder surgery have moved on , same as knees ,once upon a time a bad knee injury meant career over at the highest level most of the timeSame injury that Bryan Robson has before the World Cup in 86, that did not go well, hopefully this outcome will be better, the sooner he has the op the better, almost certainly miss the WC but he has a long career to protect.
