Let's hope it is 3/4 weeks and it doesn't turn into 6/7/8 weeks, we all know the club like to drip feed us small timescales then before you know it, there's another few weeks added on. I love Stones, he's a thoroughbred footballer and we need him back ASAP!

I agree. For me they're the best pairing we've had under Pep. The second half of that season was the most solid I've seen us since he arrived. They just seem to 'get' each other.

Unfortunately he'll be back for the fuckin International break and play both games or whatever is planned in it.

Get well soon. As long as he is back for the run in we'll be fine. Dias had a good rest, now John. A good recharge of the batteries won't do much harm. The extra games in the world cup probably didn't help so a month recuperation is about right. Other clubs will have injuries too.

If there hadn't been a world cup, we may well have actually played more games in that period than England did.

Was it in the Centurions' season that he got that injury (at Leicester?)? Since then, he's suffered several periods out of the side through injury. Shame, as he's a class player. But you can't rely on him putting in 30 appearances in a season any more.

He averages 33 appearances a season.

Kompany averaged 26 appearances a season in his last six years with us.

If so, it's pretty concerning that it's still lingering.
