*reaches for ban lever*Reports of Kyle’s season being over seem a little premature hopefully.
Watch him get sent off now…sorry…sorry….I know…no need.

I do think if he's involved at all it will likely be to try him from the start. Ake had a less than perfect ankle before the last weekend and Pep got half a game out of him. In the CL you have 5 subs so maybe Pep might chance it?The temptation must be overwhelming, to stick Kyle in from the start. Will Pep do it, though? Or bring him on for, say, the last half hour, particularly if (sorry, when) the game's going our way, and we need our best defensive unit out there, to hold on to what we've got.
The 5 subs is a good point, actually. One that completely slipped my mind.I do think if he's involved at all it will likely be to try him from the start. There's not the same risk with a twisted ankle, as there is with say a hamstring or an Achilles tendon injury, when the chances of aggrevating an existing partial tear are higher.
Edit: From personal experience, I played "an important cup game" with a strapped up Achilles tendon and ended up with a complete rupture and 9 months out! :-(
think you mean 98History is littered with stories of managers risking semi fit players and it back firing. From Ronaldo in 1994, Kane in the CL final right through to Stones and Alaba last week. I can remember tonnes of times players being risked, I can't remember one that actually worked. All the developments in the game and yet clubs keep gambling.
Personally I think this is bluster and Walker won't be seen this season, if it not be prepared to be hearing about plenty of hindsight.
You won’t remember many of the ones that worked because the clubs kept quiet about them.History is littered with stories of managers risking semi fit players and it back firing. What about after tonight?...Walker plays…despite being out for the season apparently ;-)
