should be out for madrid first game, that means we have a chance of scoring... He has lost his confidence, hope he can find it back. I think himself last thing he would want is a one on one last minute Vs madrid, he wouldn't score.

Probably a good thing, he’s been awful lately, no confidence at all and looking like he did in Pelligrinis last season
So we’re stronger without him at the moment ( IMO ) and he gets a rest and the pressure off for a bit. Might help him get back to where he’s been for last 2 seasons

Rest up which is well overdue, played too many games when out of form and pushed him too far. Hopefully he comes back as he was before

Perfect timing as long as it’s not too severe an injury with the “winter break” and with Leroy on the brink of a return. Shame for Sterling but he could do with a couple of weeks away from it all just to recharge his batteries. Hope he’s back for Wembley
