Anyone ever suffered from this and found a way to beat it?

I suffer on and off and have done for 7 years. Some nights I don't sleep at all.

Nodding off is the problem for me. I can literally lie there for hours with no sign of sleep and then be shattered all day.

Last night I last looked at my clock at 4.40am and was awake at 7am so maybe had 2 hours.

It's really starting to get on my tits.....

Any ideas?

Take a look at the 50 quid thread you will sleep like a baby, i always take a good hour to nod off no matter how tired i am, strangely the more tired i am and the earlier i have to get up the worse it is, you can get into a cycle of worrying about the need for sleep and the stress actually stops you sleeping

Tell me about it....hate it!

A couple of double vodkas just to help relax you. Wouldn't recommend sleeping pills.

Find a really boring book and read a few pages always works for me.

My problem is waking up, usually about 4ish then I can't get back to sleep
