What a season. Winning a trebble which included beating United in the FA cup final. Wish my young self could have known it spending years getting the piss taken by that lot. The amount of shit we put up with.
The path of life is more unbelievable than fiction sometimes. Always stay grounded. Very grateful for tonight.

Queuing outside Wembley train station in 1999, rain had stopped but still sodden, hundreds of City singing "you can stick your f***ing treble up your arse." Well here we are.

And when Gillingham came on the field that day i said "this lot look like Inter Milan, exact same shirts." 24 years on, who'd have thunk it?

I’ve been thinking about that day a lot today. I think we all felt that was our lowest point, in the 90th minute on that day. Little did we know, it wasn’t the end but the beginning, the moment Horlock hit the back of the net the clock started on the greatest club revival ever seen. The stuff of Lazarus. The story since then is one even the most talented author couldn’t have written.

It feels like a mirror to some kind of alternate reality. So many coincidences. Who we played, what they wore, United winning the treble and us playing them in the cup final. Two perfectly placed book-ends with an Aguero moment wedged in between.

We need to enjoy these nights blues because you never know where the peak will be but there’s a very good chance we witnessed it tonight. We’ve seen the lowest of lows and today 24 years later we saw the highest of highs.

I love this club and, whatever it brings, I can’t wait to read the next chapter of the story.
