The arsehole of the country wishing I wasn't here

I know its only the sun, and I can't really see Jose liking him that much, remember how he used to have massive public goes at Joe Cole for not working hard enough, Elano wouldn't like that!!!

But, how much do you think he will play for us next year providing SWP is fit and if we bring in another couple of midfielders?

Maybe part of a swap deal plus cash for a certain tall forward they have on their books?

Shame if he goes, but overall in his time he has been wank.

The odd game he has looked outstanding, but he's more of a liability IMO as more often than not, he's shit.

I bet he'd be good in Italy though with its shit pace.

Yes it's true as Inter have been tracking him for a while now and like i said on another thread a few weeks ago that is why he asked for a new contract to test the water where he was in Citys plans, the fact City wasn't willing to negotiate new terms will probably make his mind up for him.
I can't honestly see any swap deals for the likes of Zlatan Ibrahimović being made as José Mourinho has stated on many occasions that he's the best striker he's ever worked with.
It's a shame Elano wasn't there on Sunday to say goodbye to the fans as i can't see him ever wearing a City shirt again!!

As much as it pains me to say it, he'll go. As would I, if I'd seen Kelvin Ethuhu get in the team ahead of me.

World Cup next year as well, he'll want to be starting.

I can see this happening

If we get all our money back I have no object to be honest. I think he'd only be a squad player here from now on anyway and I doubt he'd be happy with that causing more unrest. Thanks for the memories and all that but geez us the cash!!

This has been on the cards for a while

someone that knows first a team player has basically said as much last month

Jose admires Elano's versatility! To quote from one of todays national dailies 'His ability to completely disappear in games is staggering' Let's hope Jose follows up his interest and we can replace Elano with somebody who will be committed to the cause!

I could see us trying to get Cambiasso, Muntari or Stankovic to beef up or central midfield. We are not "fluid" in the center, Kompany and DeJong being unable to move the ball forward especially well. If either of those 3 could compliment Ireland in the middle we'd be a better unit. Elano seems too lightweight for the center and not enough of a threat out wide so I could see this happening.

I think Elano has done quite well for us on the whole. But i'd take the £8m as SWP will always be first choice and him going should open the door up for Vladi Weiss to get more games

I say sell him !

But do we really need the money? I would prefer a straight player exchange. If we do have to sell, he is a current Brazilian international so should fetch much more than 8 million. Perhaps the Pompey Arab would pay more for him?
