Inter want Elano

Trouble with this is it seems that he has started to put a shift in, he knows MH is there next season and he knows if he wants to play he as to get his head down and work, personally I would like him to stay and play a whole season as Ireland has done and maybe he will regain a legendary status at our club, certainly haven't seen anyone at City score penalties the way he does. Also if he was odds with MH why ask for a contract extension. I treat all rumours in the rag tops whether players in or out as bullshit.

As stated before.... His issue isn't with Hughes...

Yes it's true as Inter have been tracking him for a while now and like i said on another thread a few weeks ago that is why he asked for a new contract to test the water where he was in Citys plans, the fact City wasn't willing to negotiate new terms will probably make his mind up for him.
I can't honestly see any swap deals for the likes of Zlatan Ibrahimović being made as José Mourinho has stated on many occasions that he's the best striker he's ever worked with.
It's a shame Elano wasn't there on Sunday to say goodbye to the fans as i can't see him ever wearing a City shirt again!!

looks like the 'rumours' were spot on then?

I disagree.... New car ordered... with an option to change to LH drive.. he wants to stay but belives he "will be sold to Italy".. that is his words..

so much for that old chestnut 'you're all deluded, he's not that good, if he leaves, it'll be to some shit club in spain'

top quality player with a temprament and physique that doesnt suit the english game.

he's had some very poor games but the stats show he has delivered enough goals and assists to be satisfied by his efforts here.

no problem with him going, but he must be replaced properly. bentley is in no way an upgrade, which is surely what this club must be aiming for with every transfer.

Be mad to get rid, class player, we don't need to sell, keep him.

This. Anyone who wants rid is deluded.

I don't want to get rid but will he be happy on the bench if more midfielders are signed - Not likely
does he have any other reason why he would consider going

If he wants out or is interested in the Inter move so be it

I'll be disappointed if he leaves, rather see the type of football played by him than a "worker".

But it does seem inevitable, and so long as we get a replacement that can create it shouldn't damage us too much.

Would be great ot see him at Inter as well if that came off.

I wouldn't be too gutted if he left to be honest. He's a good player but has made it clear he wants first team football. If we want to push into the top 4 then he's a squad player. Ideally he'd say he's happy to sit on the bench and dedicate himself to the club, but I can't see that. He's a dressing room problem waiting to happen.

Hmm i think the problem here is he doesn't have enough good days. the pace at inter would suit him better but i would be happier if we can get a player in exchange. His moaning has got on my nerves , but his pens have made up for that .

Be mad to keep him. He'll just be whingeing like a bitch cos he's on the bench

Oh well, let's keep Mills, Vassell and co, at they don't appear to be bothered about being on the bench...ffs.

As long as Robinho is OK I'm not too bothered, if it meant we got someone else in I would be happy. I would like to see Hughes' take on a good attack minded midfielder.

Personally I would like to keep him but as others have mentioned here I cant see him playing week in week out and in World Cup year that is something that every player wants to do.

Also, IF we bring in 1 or 2 top top quality midfielders where would you see him fitting in ?

He is a class player but I have to say that he would be suited better to the slower pace of Italy where he would be superb in behind a front man.... really where he should be played for us.

Can you blame him when hes such a high calibre player?

Would he get into the first team of any top 4 club?

(The answer is no)

He is a high calibre player one game in four, the rest of the time we're playing with ten men.
