Interesting news on Terry!

I posted on here as the OP said 'interesting News On Terry'. I just wondered what was so interesting and shocking about a mulit-millionaire and serial shagger having an affair?

Now I'm not misarable and don't generally moan but I cannot for the life of me see why people are interested. Yeah taking the piss out of him for his marrage and bank account falling to bits is great. But this talk of losing the England captincy is utter rubbish.

Don't het me wrong I don't like Terry at all. I couldn't care-less what he does in his private life and I don't see why anyone else does. Please enlighten me

two points:

1: being england captain makes him emblematic of, err, something or other. he's expected to lead on and off the pitch.

2: if he'd shagged any old women, it would be one thing... but shagging your team-mates' birds and ex's.... it will inevitably lead to complications in his relationships with team-mates. all of which could have been avoided if he had just kept it in his pants. like it or not, this does have implications for his ability to lead the england dressing room. we're all obsessed by football, don't deny it, and this is significant. prhaps not as significant as the papers would have you believe, but it's still something to be discussed. If my boss was putting it about in the same way, with everyone's ex's and girlfriends, I'd fucking hate him for it, I wouldn't respect him at all, I'd think , you twat, you don't care about the consequences for anyone else, you don't care about anything apart from your dick... I have to think it's the same for some of the England players.

The age old dilemma , when should private become public.

The press will always attempt to have people in the public eye named and shamed as such largely for financial reasons.

If there are any consequences for Terry in his private life so be it , he has to deal with that.

Should he lose the England captaincy as a direct consequence of his efforts elsewhere , that is up to people who employ him.

I think his position is most likely past the point of no return assuming the powers that be think that captaining your countries football team means anything.

I think its a little naieve to think that other players didn't know what was/is going on and to thinl it will harm Englands World Cup chances 'cos he was shagging the 2nd choice left-backs ex-girlfriend I think is just wrong

Terry is a a dick-head there is no getting away from it, but I think its all been blown out of proportion. The media who ask ' will it damage England' are the same ones who broke the story, surely they can't have it both ways. And I also don't buy this 'England captain= role model on/off the pitch' rubbish either

Sadly, I suspect you're giving his fellow England players far too much credit there. This is just what goes on in their shallow, vacuous world. They're probably all up to exactly the same and wondering what all the fuss is about.

1. The Sun have lined up another EIGHT women whove slept with him in the last 18 months or so. Enough for a couple of weeks of front pages. Including FHMs own HSH, Tanya Robinson
2. The front page today that Bridges ex, Vanessa, has slept with five members of the Chelsea squad is only the beginning. Two other Chelsea players - Gudjonsen and Drogba - were also sleeping with Bridge's girlfriend at the same time as Terry.
3. The Sun is also paying Vanessa £250k to dish everything including the fact that the mystery fifth Chelsea player is, depressingly predictably, Ashley Cole. Which should give Cheryl the excuse she needs to finally dump him (now shes no longer Racist Toilet Cleaner Puncher, but the new Nations Sweetheart)
4. JT has also been sleeping with current team mate Hilario's wife (who also has kids).
5. Away from the bedroom, JT also owes Wembley a substantial amount of money for a box he owns and hasn't paid for, even after he had mates in there racking up a £20k bill at the FA Cup final

And here I am thinking that a footballer just kicked a ball about!

If there is any truth in point 1, 3 and particularly 4 then Chelsea will go into meltdown. Point 5 should really see him get dumped as Englands capitan.
