Iv been looking through Mancini's record so far and looking into our remaining games and came up with an interesting stat.
I think Mancini tends to play much more open football away from home and seems to be afraid to concede and much more defensively at home.

Our last 9 away games both teams have scored.
Our last 5 Home games only one or no team scored.

Not sure if this is a positive thing that 4 of our last 6 games are at home.

ps, i know city have driven me crazy!!

Another interesting stat is that of the team that beat Hull 5-1 on 27th December 2008 only one started the game against Burnley.
In the last 15 months we have a completly new team and a new manager. It is little wonder we are taking a little time to gel.
Incidently before the win against Hull we were third from bottom. How times have changed in such a short time.
Anyone got the player that started both matches yet?
And for the anoraks, like me, another of the Burnley strters came on as subb against Hull.
I would have made this a new thread but my posts got mislaid.

at home usually you play against team that are most defending and closeing the space , if you let them score then become very difficult turn on.

Kompany and Onuoha?

I suspect that away games are beginning to suit us more. We have loads of pace up front but nobody who can truly pick out a pass in the centre of midfield. Away from home the opposition are usually going to defend higher up the pitch and it takes less of a pass to get behind the defence.

One stat i know for sure, my belly getting bigger with all the beer consumed through stress, honest. Even the rain at burnley made me drink more

BAsically what it will mean at home we have to start at a higher tempo than we have been doing and make sure we get the opening goal.

If we go behind in any of the next 4 home games..................its going to be really tough to get 3 points.

virtually a first goal wins scenario..............Gulp !!!

Depends on the opposition though. I'm not convinced that united or Spurs will come and stick a load of defenders at the edge of the box even if they do take the lead. It just isn't their style. This would be an issue against Birmingham and Villa though, as it was against Everton.

Well done samthedrummer and Macker.
Kompany started the game aginst Hull and Onouha came on as sub

Well they certainty started with a high temp in the last game! to get even faster than that, we'd have to have pre-match Sunny D and Sherbet Dips!

Agree with Lancet Fluke though - Spuds and the scum will have to beat us - but personally I always feel at home we should make the first five mins hell for any team. Attack, be unpredictable, use our pace before their defenders have had chance to stretch their legs.
