intermittent internet connection

turn off your pc..unplug your router from the power supply

wait a few minutes then restart your pc...wait for the pc to boot up then plug your router back in...this by rights should renew your ip address as you should be on a dynamic ip

a dynamic ip means you have a set ip address for a set time (on lease), this is renewed every few days or weeks

you can also force your pc to get a new ip address for you..as per the following

goto start menu then run...type cmd

a black text box will open up..

after the text saying summat like "C:\user\yourname...you will see flashing cursor

after this cursor type the following

ipconfig \all

after the flashing cursor again type ipconfig /release

then type ipconfig /renew

this should now release your old ip address and get a new one from your isp....its always worthwhile to bear this in mind as some ip's may have been previously banned by previous leasers
