International football is a poor substitute.

I miss City, the Premiership, Bobby Manc, the Etihed, Kun Aguero, Yaya and our lads battering people. The Euro's and the World Cup are better than nothing but I don't really want Engerland and God Save The Queen. I want City and Blue Moon. International football is not what it used to be and doesn't stop the close season being crap.

Who thinks this?

I'm not a fan of International football. I think it stems from years of City being utterly fucking useless. You can only have so much disappointment in your life at one time and I stopped investing emotionally in the England team after Euro 96.
Now that City are winning again I might start taking more on an interest in England, but you're right Pam, international football is a poor substitute for City and the Prem.

You can hear mine right now if you like. It's a bag of fucking shite and a huge waste of money.

It is good to have live football on the box, pity the cricket isn't.

Yeah. Even supported the Germans in '66. Couldn't bring meself to cheer on Blobby and Nobby. Now we have a few reps in the national team I can warm to them. I might even soften up when Rooney takes to the field. This has all to do with being magnanimous in victory! Humility now we are CHAMPIONS!

I do get interested when we have the odd international representative. The Italy v Croatia match was a constant flow of texts from me (Balotelli) to my renegade bluedipper offspring (Jelavic).

And joy of joys t'other night when our Gael ousted the useless Evra.

Still a little tribal!

At least the Euros have been entertaining, loads of good games. In the last World Cup you could count the amount of exciting games on one hand, the Euros have been miles better. Not club football, no, but we couldn't ask for much more from an international tournament than what the Euros are delivering.

quality wise last nite was shite, like watching watford v palace or something similar, roll on the new season and some top class players to watch, how lucky we are that we got the sheikh.

Blood pressure back to normal, fingernails are growing, beta blockers and valium away in the cupboard, I can actually sit and watch a footie match from the couch rather than behind it, sorry Pam I know what you mean but I need this chill out time before the mayhem starts again.
