Interesting that, seeing how far back they're willing to go. Apparently possession for the defending team is not required

If I was a Spanish fan, I'd be disappointed with that goal. Both the keeper and, unfortunately, Dias should be doing better. But Dias was meh for most of last season.

Yeah, it's a really subjective decision. I don't think it's clear in the Laws of the Game when "too far back" comes into play. Though, this time, it wasn't offside at all, so we can't draw conclusions from this situation.

Don't think Dias did much wrong tbh, it was the other defender nicking the ball away from Costa that was the problem
