International Matches | 10th - 16th Oct '24

Be glad when it’s over
These international breaks have become like the Emperor’s new clothes fable. The broadcasters and press keep talking these absurd matches up. Non stop conversations about how important the Nations League is. Wembley full of once-a-year happy clappy fans to witness half-paced friendly games. Most other stadiums are virtually empty.
Since we moved to these meaningless international breaks the quality of international football has plummeted. Most games are League one standard at best. The football is garbage and has no value.
It doesn’t matter what fools like Henry Winter say. Real football fans know what we are seeing is just a giant fraud led by greedy football authorities and broadcasters. The best players are already voting with their feet by pulling out of games with fake injuries. This trend will grow.

Watching the Irish out in Athens. It'll be interesting to see how they perform against the Greeks. Going by last Thursday, I'm not expecting much.
I am watching them too. The Greek manager looked like Davros when they showed him at the start.

Haaland hits the post at one end, and Arnautovic puts in a screamer on the other.
