5 at the back at home to Malta.

Not sure why anybody is ever surprised by the tactics employed by Southgate.

He is so bloody boring and bereft of innovation or progressive thinking , always has been, and from all the evidence available, always will be.

Him and the FA are perfect partners joined in their levels of predictability and mediocrity.

Honestly only every look at these fixtures in terms of getting rest/needs gametime and not getting injured. 1 out of 5 isn't bad, wouldn't have minded phillips, grealish or Rico playing though. walker with some much needed rest is an unexpected bonus.

Would love somebody to question waistcoat on fodens unavailability as a 10 because he doesn't play there for his club (despite actually playing there a little bit) compared to Englands 5th choice right back in TAA's new midfield role despite never playing there for club.

I don't know what's more unbelievable, waistcoat being so contradictory or the media's blind ignorance to it and refusal to question it.

It might not be. He might be playing someone out of position at left back.

He’s basically hiding TAA’s defensive shitness. He doesn’t trust him enough for a game at home to Malta.

At least Kyle gets a break.
