It’s hard to gauge cos Italy haven’t been much in midfield. So he’s suffered due to that.

In fairness, I think that is it. Every time he gets the ball he looks for someone in space but very few times does anyone make the movement needed for that quick, decisive pass, so he drags back, holds, holds, holds, then passes to a fullback.

Has to be incredibly frustrating going from Napoli to this.
