also, what do they mean by "odd betting patterns"? of course alot of people betted money on Newcastle. theres two teams, you either bet on one or the other.

You can bet on anything. Next goalscorers, time of goals, first half/second half score, how many throw-ins there will be in a game (if you notice that a player has kicked the ball out of play quite a few times when a pass is on inside it's probably down to betting - this shit happens, truly!)!
