Can anyone help me out. I’ve a 64gb iPhoneX. So it’s about 6 years old. Lately I’m having to delete all my apps down to the bare bones to create space to function!
System services takes up almost 40gb!!! It’s like they (apple) are slowly shutting down my phone on me.
I deleted town to 62gb and a few days later for some reason it’s back up to 63.7gb and causing problems.
I’m paying €.99c per month from cloud, which is half full.
I don’t know what I’m meant to do??
Can anyone help?

Known problem with Apple. Couldn't update my old MacBook because of memory space despite having enough free space for the communicated need. But in reality the update was much bigger.

Once a phone is 5 years old, Apple do make it slow so you buy/rent a new one.

Get rid of photos, music and videos you might have downloaded and no longer need to keep. If you have audiobooks they are very heavy on Gigabytes, so delete those you have read and don’t want to re-read. Also, it is a bit of a pain but regularly delete your history. It means you might need to faff about re-registering anything you regularly use. Also manage e-mails and delete regularly. You can also save memory by checking which tracking and additional apps that you don’t always use.

Apple gaslighting it's enablers by charging for unnecessary storage and not giving you a clue what or why this needs to be so.

If you are using hotmail if you have a load of emails on your system they can take up a whopping amount of storage, I had a deleting session and managed to find an extra 4gb for my iphone 11 and as someone said Audiobooks really to take up a lot think I deleted four off and found another 3 gb

Stamp on it, bin it and buy an android phone.
I’m on a 13 pro. No contract and it is starting to do that cunts trick Apple do. I also can’t speak down it like a phone so I have to talk on the speaker or the AirPods.

I had pixel phone before this and I’m really tempted by the latest one of those. Just don’t know if I can be arsed with all the fucking around that goes with setting up after switching. Bank app, credit cards etc.

I see Android phones as the phone for grown ups, whereas as these iPhones are for the kids.

Is it time for this 54 year old to become a man?

I once had an Apple 4, really smooth and easy to use. But wouldn't allow me to transfer mp3 files and other stuff from my phone so when contract finished I got another android and wouldn't use another Apple phone if it was free. For a leading brand the battery life was really bad and the screens were easy to break. Not sure what they're like nowadays though.

I'm pretty sure mobile phones have bugs in them that are programmed to malfunction after a certain time, my phone is dying a slow death and it's time to replace it.

I might buy another Xiaomi, they're good value and feature packed for the money. I may go for 14 Pro pretty cheap between 200-£250. I pay £8 a month sim only on EE. Enough data for what I need. I can't understand those wanting the latest tech paying around £45 per month contract. Each to their own as they say.
