Really enjoyed that performance. Everyone looks that bit fitter and sharper, and the team looks happy.

I think we are building nicely to a really strong second half of the season. Plus we’ve got some good looking transfers coming in that are going to boost the squad.

Tactical change with double pivot, Gundo was alongside Kova, much more solid. Not the most dynamic of duos but stayed close to each other.
 
The intensity, the effort, the passing and desire were all there today. Maybe the new signings are getting them geed up a bit. What do you all think? Whatever, it was an excellent performance by everyone.
 
Crucial moment came right at the start of the second half with that good save by Ederson to keep them from making it 3-1 and then who knows? And right afterwards his pass began the move that made it safe at 4-0

Shout out to the crowd - from what I could hear on Sky, in fine voice throughout. “You’re going down with United” a particular highlight.

We’ll probably go and lose the next one now in Typical City fashion, but it’s certainly been an enjoyable weekend of footy (dippers late win aside.)

That's a good point, We've seen Gundo/Kova or Gundo/Rico ect as a pivot in other games as the distances have been far too big when we press, Today the press was good and the distances between players was really good and we didn't put ourselves in positions to get exposed.

Personally when I seen the line up with KDB, Gundo and Kova in midfield it's a midfield with alot of years combined and I thought we could be in trouble, It shows it can work when it's implemented correctly and as you said the distances and staying close together it's key.
 
A perfect day. Much better performance. The return of Ruben to make the difference at the back. Ederson's calmness and control sets the platform. Improved fitness and form of Phil and KDB. Dynamism from Doku. Athleticism from Nunes. The joy of seeing proper gametime for the academy players. I bloody loved it. On to tougher challenges.
