You have to suspect some Israeli connection to this. My suspicion is that Israel rightly are now resigned to there being little or no chance of Iran giving up nuclear ambitions now Biden has won in the states. Therefore they will have to deal with it themselves.

Probably a prologue to the Israeli air force visiting before much longer, much as they did in Iraq and Syria. Both Saddam and Assad would have had nuclear weapons were it not for the Israelis, hopefully they will save us from a nuclear armed Iran too.

I wonder if the recent diplomatic recognition of Israel by the Gulf states and Netanyahu's visit to Saudi were all about getting the nod for this assassination, presumably by Mossad. I doubt that the Saudis want a nuclear Iran any more than Israel.

Ignoring the second part of your post because it’s bollocks, I would agree with the first part up to the word “off”.
I would say it satisfies two different agendas. Israel and the gulf states’ very real fear of a nuclear Iran, and Trump’s aim to leave a total shitshow in place for Biden to pick up.

MAD is an unpredictable principle. It worked for the cold war because it wasn't for all that long in the grand scheme of things and essentially neither side wanted to kick off. Iran has two tiers of Govt - one secular and a little bit bonkers but ultimately can probably be reasoned with, the other a religious theocracy that while it is Shia rather than Sunni is probably not a million miles away from the mindset that thinks you can 'win' by piloting a plane into the twin towers or blowing yourself up. These are not the sort of folk you want with their finger on the launch button.
The Israeli govt are already armed to the teth so the genie is out the bottle there. Also, I believe to insinuate they are governed by rw extremists hell-bent on war in the middle-east and on reducing Iran to rubble would be AS, so let's just assume they are reasonable and have nukes for peaceful defensive purposes.

The slight difference is no Israeli politician or high ranking statesman has expressed a desire to wipe Iran of the face of the planet, where of course Iran have said it of Israel. That tends to set the alarm bells ringing nowhere more than Israel of course whom quite understandably have made it very clear indeed that they will not allow Iran to have that capability.

Israel have the capabilities to end Irans nuclear programme and I am afraid will use whatever it takes before Iran have a weapon that can get anywhere near them.....and rightly so.
