Mohsen Fakhrizadeh, Iran's top nuclear scientist, assassinated near Tehran
Iran's foreign minister has condemned the killing of Mohsen Fakhrizadeh "as an act of state terror".www.bbc.co.uk
Second assassination this month.
It came out that trump wanted to bomb someone last week, now thisPompeo met up with the Israeli and saudis the other day, now this happens. I'd guess Trump gave the Israelis the green light to start a war before he leaves
I'm hoping that assassination of Iranian nuclear expertise will calm Israeli fears of an Iranian bomb and mean no one bombs/invades anywhere. You have to suspect some Israeli connection to this. My suspicion is that Israel rightly are now resigned to there being little or no chance of Iran giving up nuclear ambitions now Biden has won in the states. Therefore they will have to deal with it themselves.
Probably a prologue to the Israeli air force visiting before much longer, much as they did in Iraq and Syria. Both Saddam and Assad would have had nuclear weapons were it not for the Israelis, hopefully they will save us from a nuclear armed Iran too.

.....”save us”. LolYou have to suspect some Israeli connection to this. My suspicion is that Israel rightly are now resigned to there being little or no chance of Iran giving up nuclear ambitions now Biden has won in the states. Therefore they will have to deal with it themselves.

'should', yes, but it's not a given, unless they essentially wipe them off the face of the earth, and that isn't going to happen without serious consequences.classic approach for leaders in difficulty at home - go kick ass abroad - just pick on someone you should be able to beat
Ignoring the second part of your post because it’s bollocks, I would agree with the first part up to the word “off”.I would comment on guessing this is an Israeli government hit with Trump's blessing to antagonise the region before he fucks off but any criticism of the hard right/borderline fascist government you instantly get smeared as Anti Semite.
I would argue that Iran have a perfectly valid argument in pursuing 'capability' in the spirit of MAD. Just how many of them Israeli nukes are aimed at Tehran? I've checked the guidelines and might get away with posting that..I would comment on guessing this is an Israeli government hit with Trump's blessing to antagonise the region before he fucks off but any criticism of the hard right/borderline fascist government you instantly get smeared as Anti Semite.
MAD is an unpredictable principle. It worked for the cold war because it wasn't for all that long in the grand scheme of things and essentially neither side wanted to kick off. Iran has two tiers of Govt - one secular and a little bit bonkers but ultimately can probably be reasoned with, the other a religious theocracy that while it is Shia rather than Sunni is probably not a million miles away from the mindset that thinks you can 'win' by piloting a plane into the twin towers or blowing yourself up. These are not the sort of folk you want with their finger on the launch button.I would argue that Iran have a perfectly valid argument in pursuing 'capability' in the spirit of MAD. Think you've watched too many Bond films.Oh just let Iran have Nuclear arms. I went there on holiday once and the people were nice. So that means the goverment can't be shady at all... right?
