As long as they don't give it to Gough. Today he was reading out a news item, in his inimitable mangled English, about Chelsea's signing of van Ginkel from Vitesse Arnhem. He completely mispronounced 'Eredivisie' as 'Air Devicey' and then came out with his own unique mispronunciation of Jose (Mourinho). Most people know the correct Portuguese pronunciation is 'Zhosay' but some people persist in pronouncing it as if he were Spanish as 'Hosay'. Gough came out - more than once - with 'Yosay'.

Exactly! Irani was the perfect foil for him: thick, arrogant, self opinionated, inarticulate and a bigger free loader than him. He made Brazil look above average.

In fairness being the most intelligent life form on Talkshite is hardly an accolade, as I'd back my border collie for a top three spot if they ran a poll.
