Horrible how they get away with it, the one in the Ukraine was blame on random rebels when the equipment was Russian Military.

Lots of war and conflict around the globe and with a very small exception, no one makes a habit of shooting down civilian aircraft.

It matters not a jot if planes where in the sky at the time and about to bomb the fuck out of Iran as the airspace should and would have been shut down by the Iranians the second they thought it was a credible and real threat.

Yes, no disputing somebody f*cked up, but if you thought for one second you were about to get rained on by 420000lbs of munitions I'm sure you couldn't guarantee you would be in the best frame of mind.

Iran has been threatening to wipe Israel off the map for years and they dont go around shooting down civilian aircraft over it.

Iran airport, Iranian airspace and Iranian missiles supplied by and possibly controlled by the Russian military and by sheer coincidence a Ukranian carrier.

I can think of nothing worse than being alive as the plane breaks up around you.

on the Lockerbie anniversary I read a ‘long read’ in the papers about it and from witnesses on the ground. One poor fucker was found having clutched grass in his hand after hitting the floor in his seat before dying. Slept badly thinking about it that night and will probably do so again. Awful stuff.

I know people who worked on the site at Lockerbie during the initial search and the subsequent days/weeks afterwards. They certainly don't have fond memories of the incident.
