Iranian General killed by US Drone.

I've also seen reports of Trump's IQ being 73.

I know which one I think is closer to the truth.
Just go by what you see. I have seen or heard nothing from him that would justify an IQ rating of 156. However, I have seen him fail miserably to close an umbrella and then just leave it open and drop it to the floor, which does point in the direction of 73.

This is an incredible development.

They've separated Trump from the USA.

Obviously first and foremost I hope no one gets hurt in all this, but I have to say threatening Trump properties seems like a really "smart" move.

Everyone knows what damage it would do to Trump's brand and his ego, and yet if terrorists attack a trump hotel in Turkey or Saudi....its not an attack on the USA is it?

Do they even need to attack them, or is some fatwa-style threat enough to empty out the hotels and apartments?

I wonder if anyone saw this coming.

I just canceled my round of golf in Aberdeen for this weekend

If anyone thinks it's ok for terrorists to attack innocent civilians who stay or work in a Trump property across many countries in the world who have absolutely nothing to do with American foreign policy then they too deserve a drone with their name on it.
Iran don't even need to hit a Trump property. The threat of it will see a downturn in business and hit him where it hurts him mosṭ. In his pocket. It will also cost him a small fortune to pay for extra security.

It’s a horribly brilliant riposte, in every sense, though I too sincerely hope no one is harmed as a result of it.

And it is truly amazing that we have come to situation where actively threatening the business interests of a sitting American president, rather than the government itself, is a “clever, measured, proportional” response to an assassination that provides political cover.

Where are all those that said there was no legitimate reason for Trump and his cronies/family to divest from (and cease expansion of) their businesses prior to taking office?

If you mean me that's not what i mean, hitting trump personally be it through his business or property is a much smarter move than going for a blanket policy of killing random prople ,that doesn't punish the right person,it's inevitable innocents are going to die because of his actions

Who (of right mind) is saying that?

Suleimani may not have been an angel

The man was directly responsible for terror attacks and the murder of thousands, including Americans.

I find your line there contemptible.

In other news, a political expert based in Tehran has said the focus is on the burial and ceremonies and not instant retaliation, which is good and hopefully means a decision not too rash.

They are also not completely throwing the nuclear agreement, again a good sign.

The more you read about this, the worse it gets for Trump, his staff trying desperately to wriggle out of him threatening cultural sites, claiming it was a hypothetical, only for him to say it again!

I'm pretty sure Trump didn't consider for one moment that the insurance policies on his numerous properties will go up considerably as a result of his actions in the Middle East. Mind you, knowing what he's like he'll probably claim it back as an expense.

Of course it is, How many innocent folk have been killed by drone attacks by simply being in the wrong place. I'm not sure the yanks give a rats arse about those folk.

Collateral damage to them.
