Slight overreaction. He came on as sub and tried to thread a few passes through, a lot however didnt get through..

Not "superback".. people get too carried away with him.

Bit harsh, he's our only midfield player who plays the 'killer' ball, De Jong and Barry are terrific players but they aint the most creative players.
It's one area where i felt we needed to strengthen in the summer and it didn't happen, an in form Ireland is vital to what we hope to achieve this season.

Not true. Tevez played in Ireland's position for most of the game and put a killer ball in for SWP. Shame SWP failed to control it but it wasn't easy at that pace to be fair. Bellers would have tho ;) I thought Ireland was better last night but still some way off form. Hopefully he will rectify that against Wigan.

It's all about opinions mate, my opinion on Tevez last night was he was bloody awful.

I Think Ireland played a blinder last night and totally changed the game for us. One thing I've noticed though is there are times when other players should be passing the ball to Ireland but there picking the wrong option (the newer guys). That will come with time though once the team gells and everyone figures each other out. Once that happens though we are going to have one fucking scarily good team that will literally tear anyone apart at any ground.

A bit harsh IMO, I thought he made the difference last night, Villa were looking comfortable and we needed to change things, Ireland gave us a bit of extra creativity in midfield and helped us get that extra momentum that got us the equaliser.

Just needs to build up his match fitness now as he should be a starter IMO

I've got my tin hat on here but apart from his part in the goal i honestly thought he was very poor.

He threaded one very good ball through and he brought the ball down nicely a few times but like i said, overall he was a bit poor.

He misplaced far too many passes. He played a long ball for Bellamy who was in acres of space, but sadly the quality of the pass was poor. He tried to thread through about 5 passes and only one came off. Then he inexcusably kicked the ball out of play when trying to square it under pressure, then he got caught in possession a fair few times when we had a break on. He was not at his best. He did have a big hand in the goal, so fair is fair, but that aside i honestly thought he was poor.

I must have watched another game last night, I thought he did a couple of nice through balls but in the main he was running around like a headless. The pass at the end when he just hammered it off the pitch could have cost us, I think he needs to get his act together. Not impressed at the moment think he is not switched on enough.
