I've said for three years that Ireland could be OUR Scholes, there's no reason why he can't be their new one. It wouldn't suprise me one bit if they came in for him, played in his correct position with a good manager to coach him he'll be consistently top class!! he's had a poor season but remember he was top quality last season, when we played Barca at the start of the season he was the best player on the pitch. Of all people WE know what he's capable of, he should be given his chance at city.

I'm all for him staying, but he needs to pull his finger out and "get his head right" as Mancini put it. He's only really turned it on for one season with us - would be nice to see that again.
