Hearing them (DUP) on the RTE news blatantly disagreeing with the facts of their actions over the past couple of years that got us to this point and continuing down the road of blaming Dublin and the EU, primarily for the mess they voted for and the government they propped up that signed off on this agreement.

They are total hypocrites and there is nothing democratic about them. The ‘D’ should be removed from their party name. The irony that the only thing protecting them is the GFA and yet they would willingly destroy it to go back to how things were in the good old days of having their own way.

I honestly don’t know where this is going.

Ya know, i probably dont have a better feeling....i am quite simply ignoring the news at the moment....

In saying that, Assembly Elections are due in May (i think they may be brought forward now, not 100% sure...in fact, i wonder if they will actually happen as Stormont is now "down"??)....so this could be (imo) the best time for them to mess things up.....and all the other parties to steal their votes/seats
 
Been following it for few days now and as normal usual suspects couldn't give a fiddler's elbow about covid, energy price rises, education, health care (I could go on). I saw clip this morning some guy says DUP one if the worst led political parties ever. No argument from me on that
 
We just need rid of all the old guard.....a friend of mine is actually standing for the Green Party, in the area i live...they are the only party who have feet on the ground, knocking doors, rejuvenating local communities, fighting for our young people and demanding change....i appreciate they may be biased, but the really feel they are in with a shot of getting their first seat here...everyone who i would speak "politics" with will be voting for him.....fingers crossed!

As the blow in to Norn Iron it has always amazed me how much the things that are really important...are completely ignored here.
The same old petty arguements get trotted out, the same stubborn positions with very few actually thinking what is good for everyone, rather than their own small little band.
Irrespective of the greater BREXIT debate, the situation of NI , in my mind should be something to be used for the betterment of all, the best of both worlds and be used to bring in investment.
Alas there are still so many living in the past

Its basically a tale of an ideologist suddenly realising that the regime he has given his all to suddenly realising they don't give a fuck about him and he has sold himself and his mates down the river - Think German soldier who chased the allies into the Channel - fought in North Africa - posted to Russia and been on permanent retreat since Stalingrad and are sat in a foxhole just to the East of Berlin realising that is how its going to end for you - not the way you were told not the way were sold - and you can hear the bomb or shell with your name on it just screaming towards you......
