Have not read trainspotting but of course see the film I thought Filth was superb as was glue...never read porn due to the cover can't see myself reading that on the beach/train!

His work is pretty brutal, but there's a real thread of humanity hidden in there.
I've read all his books and I've enjoyed 'em all.
