Is Arjen Robben a Diver, Cheat & a Whinger?

Puyal pulled him back when he was clean through and he didn't dive.

Which goes to show if you don't dive you don't get the free kick, so you can't blame players.

It's a truism that if you don't go to ground the likelihood of getting the 'foul' is negligible because refs will be inclined to play any scrap of advantage and too many refs are 'trained' only to give the 'foul' if progress is halted and not just impeded, and I am in no doubt whatsoever that I can hear, this one comes over in a strong Barnsely accent, managers yelling to players on the training ground that once in the penalty area if there is the slightest contact, you go. The whole system is geared up for cheating - the systematic twisting, bending and breaking of the laws of the game without the merest nod to the spirit. Does anyone know of any player who still plays to the spirit of the game first?

I don't know but I'd have him at City if he were open to it. Great player.

Its apart of the modern game. I'll tell you what though regardless whether you class Robben a cheat or not he is a top quality player who i would love to have one day here at City. If he had a right foot on him he would probably be in the top 3 in the world.
