Is Extraterrestrial disclosure taking place?

I'd love for it to be the case, to know we are not alone and there is a galactic federation out there for us to discover. Although I've watched programmes on and even on occasion researched or visited the locations of countless unexplained events from Roswell to Rendlesham, Ilkley Moor to Todmorden, I find as I get older I become more skeptical, but what I do note is a distinct change in attitude from (US in particular) government agencies and representatives over the last one to two decades.

Any government would want to first confirm it was not theirs, or worse, any other countries. Once that was satisfied then maybe you can openly admit you haven't a Scooby about what they are. But you cant exactly ask the military to disclose all the black projects kept off the books.

Question would be for me, why? Why disclose at all, and why now? Has the truth become unsupressable? Is there a bigger threat? It is it all just hot air?

In trying to explain the videos released by the Pentagon, for example, there is a very real phenomenon occuring but where do you start? An ancient race of sea dwelling people who occasionally pop up to the skies for a holiday? Interdimensional beings who phase into our space? Extraterrestrials who conduct human experiments at their secret earth bases, gifted to them by previous leaders? Or just a very determined bird that decided to be the fastest bird the bird world had ever seen?

this is in the other aliens thread and the Obama interview was brought up in that a few days ago.....

I shall repeat what I said in there;

The US can say they don't really know what some of these things are, maybe they're actually being honest for once (or maybe full disclosure isn't exactly what it says on the tin), but this is the age old tactic of saying ' we're not safe ' but in this context, it's US airspace and, to a lesser but future relevant extent, aerospace. More money please, more fancy weapons to head down potential 'threats'. Fear fear fear. It is still inference to conclude aliens, but yeah, could be i suppose.

It looks like we’re in the process of being made aware that we’re being visited by extraterrestrials.

I’ve thought it for a while now ever since the release of the tracker footage which was confirmed to be real by the pentagon and also due to a 180 turn in how the issue was being handled by the media.

Several news stations have completely changed their approach to this subject and instead of treating it like a joke, we are now treating it as a serious issue.

Recently even Obama confirmed on live tv the presence of these craft or objects, describing the moves and abilities as unexplainable. What he’s doing is basically asking the public to fill in the gaps.

Last year the New York Times had a big report on recent events as well:

*Mr. Davis (an astrophysicist who worked as a subcontractor and then a consultant for the Pentagon U.F.O. program), who now works for Aerospace Corporation, a defense contractor, said he gave a classified briefing to a Defense Department agency as recently as March about retrievals from “off-world vehicles not made on this earth.”

Mr. Davis said he also gave classified briefings on retrievals of unexplained objects to staff members of the Senate Armed Services Committee on Oct. 21, 2019, and to staff members of the Senate Intelligence Committee two days later.*

Amongst other things there were also these comments made by another high placed public official:

*Former intelligence director John Ratcliffe said.

Asked on Fox News about a forthcoming government report on “unidentified aerial phenomena”, Ratcliffe said the report would document previously unknown sightings from “all over the world”.

“Frankly, there are a lot more sightings than have been made public,” he said.

“Some of those have been declassified. And when we talk about sightings, we are talking about objects that have been seen by navy or air force pilots, or have been picked up by satellite imagery, that frankly engage in actions that are difficult to explain, movements that are hard to replicate, that we don’t have the technology for.

“Or traveling at speeds that exceed the sound barrier without a sonic boom.”

“I actually wanted to get this information out and declassify it before I left office,” Ratcliffe said, “but we weren’t able to get it down into an unclassified format that we were able to talk about quickly enough.”*

These declaration interviews have also been made in recent days with no hint of mockery as we would have seen the the past:

I would not be surprised in the slightest, genuinely, if I found out tonight that we are being observed by higher terrestrial beings.

While we allow countries to drops bombs on schools and Billionaires float their success while millions starve - why would they (if they are) reveal themselves whilst we are so hostile and primitive? It may sound like tinfoil hat stuff, but could you image the sheer awe of those below if you flew a fighter jet over the Battle of Bannockburn?

The greater our level of technology, the faster technology evolves. It may seem unbelievable, but if we as a species can not kill our planet and ourselves, I could see us travelling to other galaxies, just as travelling to another continent (that they didn't even know existed) seemed impossible.

Everyone be honest, let’s just say it was confirmed over the next few years, would you be scared?
I think it would be natural to be scared.

Personally the possibilities far outweigh the negatives and fear, after all it's similar to contact of indigenous peoples in the past by Europeans, but I can imagine for some that such circumstances would be cause for panic, riot and more.

Religion would need a rethink, there's be demands for technology and medicines to alter our health and lifespans, cheat death if you will, and others who want to ignore the whole thing and carry on as before.

I've always found the fact that we've beamed our location, list of resources, physiology and level of intelligence into the cosmos, on repeated occasions, a very questionable action.

Everyone be honest, let’s just say it was confirmed over the next few years, would you be scared?

No. They would most likely be highly intelligent, thus meaning peaceful. Aggressive civilizations would most likely kill themselves out before they can reach such a level of advancement. If they can travel across space, i'm sure they would have society and politics pretty figured out - which would not include aggression.

I probably would be scared in case they were hostile. As I said in an earlier post, the possibilities are truly endless. If aliens could fly here then they could fly back too. There could be a knowledge transfer programme where they come and work here for a bit and we go to the Corvid Galaxy to mine unknown minerals for Space Commander Xel'nuhar. Even better, we could go and be holiday reps at the beach resorts and all the women are 7 foot tall with 5 tits and 20 hands. Arguing with the buffalo DJ over who gets to gum the last of the space cocaine bag.
