Is getting drunk worth the hangover?

Had a hangover today but didn't even drink that much last night. Temple headache, dry mouth, lack of energy but that was cured by a big shit, shower, 2 cups of tea, glass of water and paracetamol.

I find I do better with hangovers these days than I did in my teens/early twenties whereas others seem to suffer with age

Sunday, I had a couple at the pub, two bottles of red over the afternoon and evening. Woke up fresh as a daisy, 5 mile walk , then a couple of liveners at lunch.
I don't drink during the week, but try to catch up at weekend, don't get hangovers

Rarely get a hangover with the spirits but it's very easy to over-consume as they go down so quickly. On Monday I nailed half a litre but during a protracted 6 hour session and any more consumption would have resulted into that unfortunate metamorphism into babble land. After recently winning the most improved Moon poster of the year award I did not wish that to happen.
